IGNOU MPhil in Translation Studies Admission 2024: IGNOU School of Translation Studies & Training offers MPhil in Translation Studies (MPHILTT) course. The duration of MPHILITT course is 1 year to 2 years. Studies program to those candidates who have a post-graduate degree in translation studies, literature, linguistics, cultural studies, or allied subjects with proven competence in translation. Students can apply for MPhil in Translation Studies (MPHILTT) at the official website.
The program has an entrance examination and the candidates are interviewed by a doctoral committee of experts in the area for admission. Weightage: 70% for the Entrance Examination and 30% for an interview. The candidates admitted for the program have to undertake the course work and those who have already undertaken the course work will be exempted.

Possesses Master’s Degree from a University recognized by UGC or any other qualification recognized as equivalent thereto in such fields of study as are notified for the purpose from time to time by the University with at least 55% marks [50% marks in the case of SC, ST and OBC (Non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of UGC from time to time, or for those who had obtained their Master’s Degree prior to 19th September 1991] excluding grace marks. and Qualifies in the Entrance Test conducted by IGNOU at the national level.

IGNOU MPhil in Translation Studies Course Fees
The admission fee for the course must be paid by the aspirant to complete the admission procedure. The course fee must be paid via cash delivery and demand draft. The demand draft issued by the banks to aspirants must be paid at the respective regional study centre.
Total course fees are INR 12,600. The IGNOU rules state that no entry fee is refundable. If the university denies or rejects the application then complete fees will be refunded to aspirants by deduction of the registration fee.
IGNOU MPhil in Translation Studies Eligibility
Students must possess a master’s course in translation studies, allied subjects, cultural studies, and linguistics. The aspirant must get admission to the course if he/she has at least 50% marks. The degree must be acquired from an authorized and reputable university. The program also has an entrance test and aspirants are usually interviewed by experts in relevant fields.
